The Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences,
in association with
the University of Salzburg,
the University of Vienna, and
the University of Potsdam,
is pleased to announce the First Central European Student Conference in Linguistics, to take place at the Research Institute for Linguistics Budapest, May 29-31, 2006.
The aim of the conference is to provide students, primarily but not exclusively from Central European countries, the opportunity to present their work to an international audience and to receive informed feedback from senior researchers and fellow students.
The organizers invite undergraduate and doctoral students to submit abstracts for 30-minute oral presentations in English (an extra 10 minutes will be allotted for discussion) describing original, unpublished work, addressing topics from any of the following fields of linguistics:
Phonology
Morphology
Syntax
Semantics
Pragmatics
Sociolinguistics
Language Technology
Psycholinguistics/Neurolinguistics
Historical Linguistics
