Venue & Travel

FoDS7 will be held at the Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics (Benczúr u. 33, H-1068 Budapest). You can plan your travel inside Budapest using public transportation with ease with the help of Google Maps.

Budapest itself is easy to reach by road, train or flight. For train timetables and booking, you can use the website of the Hungarian State Railways or that of Deutsche Bahn. Various coach companies such as Flixbus or Eurolines also offer connections to Budapest. Liszt Ferenc International Airport is served by various low-cost and traditional airlines.

Accommodation

Budapest is a popular tourist destination and as a consequence, it has a broad range of accommodation options ranging from hotels to Airbnb. Since tastes and means vary, we do not make any specific recommendations, other than pointing out one fairly obvious option, Hotel Benczúr, which is situated right next to our institute. (In case you opt for Hotel Benczúr, please make clear on booking that you are a participant of “Formal Diachronic Semantics 7 (FoDS7)”.)

With the venue being close to tourist hotspots such as Andrássy Avenue and Heroes Square, there is a fair number of restaurants, cafeterias and eateries within reasonable distance: here is a list with a map from TripAdvisor.
