It is by now a tradition that selected papers from SinFonIJA appear in an edited volume or in a special issue of a journal. Papers from this year’s SinFonIJA will be published in a special issue of Acta Linguistica Academica, a journal of general linguistics.
The journal is hosted by the Research Institute for Linguistics, Budapest and is published by Akadémiai Kiadó, the Academic Press of Hungary.
We invite all oral and poster presenters to submit a paper based on their SinFonIJA contributions. The manuscripts can be either short, squib-like papers or full-length journal articles. Note that Acta Linguistica Academica does not have a page/character-limit policy. By way of a reference point, we suggest that squibs should be up to 15 pages, and full-length papers should be up to 35 pages long.
In order to cast the iron while it’s hot and reflect what was presented at the conference itself, papers should be submitted by *1 November 2020* via the journal’s online manuscript handling system at https://submit.akademiai.com/aling/index.php/aling.
In the “Comments for the Editor” box, please indicate that your submission is intended for the SinFonIJA special issue.
We accept both Word and LaTeX submissions. The complete instructions for Authors can be found at https://akjournals.com/fileasset/author-guidelines/ALING_2020_author_instructions.pdf
The papers will undergo double-blind review. Accepted papers will be published online first at https://akjournals.com/view/journals/2062/aop/issue.xml before the full issue comes out. All papers become freely available for download (Open Access) via the journal’s website one year after publication.
If you have any questions regarding the special issue, do not hesitate to contact us at sinfonija13@nytud.hu or the journal directly at ala@nytud.hu.
